Original oil painting of Mount Shasta in the Cascade Mountains of California. The vantage point is from Lake Shastina. Mount Shasta is the second-highest peak in the Cascade Range and the fifth highest peak in California at 14,179 feet. The image was reproduced in Steve Simon's coffee-table book entitled "California: Through an Artist's Eye."
