Wailea means "water of Lea" in Hawaiian, Lea being the goddess of Hawaiian canoe makers. This resort town has world class resorts, spas, golfing, tennis,and of course beaches. The Grand Wailea features the 50,000 square foot Spa Grande--one of the finest spas in the world. The image was reproduced in Steve Simon's coffee-table book entitled "The Spirit of South Maui."
