Bristlecone Pine 
Original oil painting of a bristlecone pine in the White Mountains of Eastern California. Bristlecone pines are considered the oldest continuously living organisms on the planet. One tree in the White Mountains dubbed "Methuselah" is believed to be earth's oldest inhabitant at over 4,700 years old. The image was reproduced in Steve Simon's coffee-table book entitled "California: Through an Artist's Eye."
